Natalia Silva captured the vacant UFC women’s flyweight title by defeating Wang Cong via unanimous decision at UFC 332 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The official judges’ scores were 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46.
According to the UFC’s official October 4 results report, Silva used movement and varied striking to build an early lead, while Wang became more effective in the later rounds. Silva still did enough across five rounds to secure the decision and leave Salt Lake City as champion.
The victory moved Silva to 9-0 in the UFC. It also completed the title story that began with the vacant championship matchup previewed before the event in our UFC 332 preview.
In the co-main event, Payton Talbott stopped Deiveson Figueiredo by TKO at 2:09 of the first round.
UFC 332 therefore ended with a new flyweight champion and a decisive co-main event finish, with Silva’s five-round win standing as the night’s major championship result.
